So instead, I have a proposition. I have always, ALWAYS had the nerdy ambition to have a book club. I did participate in one for a couple hot minutes in middle school, but that hardly counts because the moms were always vetoing our choices. Apparently, when someone picks out some scary-ass book about vampires that kept me awake for a week, it was fine, but when Hillary wanted to read something actually good about some chick being bi, it was inappropriate. In any case, I can read whatever I want now and I want to read with y'all. So any takers? And the invitation should of course be extended to any interested parties, not just our women that are wise. The blog could even be used for sharing thoughts, since we are often so spread apart. I am lobbying hard for this so think about it. I will even pick the first book, if that encourages anyone.
One love.
P.S. For those not in Athens, the Broasis lost the firepit. Howard gave us new gravel and is trying to fix the erosion. I'm trying to remember now why I thought this was interesting enough to put in a post, but can't now. Pretend I was especially witty about it and we'll call it a day.
i am just glad gravel was made as a tag for this post
ReplyDeleteby impromptu visits dt she means we've been downtown 3 nights in a row and still have two 21st birthdays to celebrate the next two nights. 5 for 5 anyone?
ReplyDeleteJulia, I am in desperate need of you. No one else embraces the early dt and midnight bounce. Needless to say, everyone else wishes you were here too to leave with me at the witching hour.
