i saw a flyer out at the farm for a wise women conference up where they do the Lake Eden Arts Festival (LEAF) in Black Mountain. not that anyone here is a hippie. and not that any of us would really be able to go learn worldly wisdom from other women, date-wise and all.
just sayin.
love yall, c.

ps....beckaliss, you should post up a picture of the newly green kitchen!!
ReplyDeleteThere are other Wise Women in the southeast?! If it wasn't for the cost ($245? gasp), I would go soak up some herbal wisdom.
ReplyDeleteAlso, what about "Reading Lolita in Tehran" as a book club book?
we should teach a wise women seminar and charge 245. also, i was just in black mountain and saw the same flyers! wieerd.
ReplyDeletethat book looks wonderful, i am in!
ooh i actually read that book. i kind of chopped out on our book club idea, but i guess its never too late?
ReplyDeletebut i def think we should charge people for us to share our wisdom. our seminar could include:
-how to turn recycled goods into useful cups you can drink out of (without drinking out of cups)
-cat catching
-festive party decorations that double as long-term decor
-spontaneous dancing
-getting fit by exercising in your own home
hahaha...hahaha!
ReplyDeleteI would like to add seminars on:
-low-cost adventures (can you say free concert, kitchen painting, and the quarry, for starters)
-fashion advice
-best ways to lose/destroy cell phones
-frisbee
-communal living
Tars- have you read Lolita? Being too late is one of my worst fears, and we are certainly not too late in this situash. You are in charge of picking a book and the rest of us will read it if we are so inclined.
